On behalf of all the grandchildren, I would love to share with you the story of a Special Nanna who always had our interests at heart. Not only was she beautiful in appearance, she had a certain warmth that if you spent time with her, you would be fortunate to experience her loving kindness.
Going back memory lane, she was always travelling. Most of her time was spent on the island of Rotuma.
Nanna Emi was a woman of great strength. Whenever she was around, everything was in place. The family was complete and she would always advise all her children on the importance of their children and to put us first before their own interests. I remember her lectures to our dads to stop drinking grog and smoking and to spend more time with the family.
She never forgot to buy us gifts during her overseas trips which we normally look forward to her arrivals. Always caring, and she would share whatever little she had with us. Our happiness was so important.
Today, we can only treasure her good memories and live by her example on loving and sharing unconditionally.
May God Bless our Nanne in Heaven
Elizabeth
